Color Balancing

A while back I jumped in front of the camera for a fellow photographer, James Westman to color balance the shot. Not a bad photo of me. Always remember to custom white balance it will save you a headache later. My favorite to use is WhiBal Pocket Kit. Its small so you don't have a lot of extra bulk to carry around if you go on location. They are also a sturdy plastic card.
But if your ever stuck without a grey card you can always find an old Polaroid and use the back I have on stuffed in every camera bag I own.

Fit2BMOM

Here is a behind the scenes shot of a shoot yesterday. The product is Fit2BMom Active wear. The client wanted to see the product on a non-pregnant woman. In steps the mannequin. My dinning room/office/studio space gets smaller and smaller everyday.

Confetti

Here is a sample of shiny reflective foil where I used the white/black board below. If the white board didn't have the black strips on it then you would not see any black in the confetti pieces. That would be a pretty flat looking image.

Reflective Foil

A Little trick I learned to make reflective foil reflect light but still look like foil and not look flat. Such a great idea just as good as a zebra board.
